A. That depends on what you would like the interior of your vehicle to look
like. If you are looking for a quick fix to a torn seat, or to protect your
seat from wet dogs or bathing suites, then a seat cover would work for you.
If you are restoring a classic car, or want your vehicle to look showroom
new again then a Seat Upholstery kit as what you want to look at.
Q.What is the difference between a Seat Upholstery Kit and a Seat
A. With Seat Upholstery you will remove your
seat from the vehicle and then completely remove the factory original fabric
/ vinyl / leather from the seat frame and cushion(in most cases). A Seat Cover
is designed and inteded to go on your seat over your factory original seat
material. Seat covers are available in a variety of styles, from Custom fit
seat covers (typically a more precise fit) and Universal Seat covers (designed
to fit a wide range of seat styles.
Q.The difference between a Custom Seat Cover and Seat Upholstery?
A.The Customer Seat cover will go on over your factory material. There are
typically several types of materials to choose from ranging from factory grade
materials to neoprene and leathers. The prices vary depending on the material
selected. They may also be available to purchase as individual rows, for example,
just the front seats, or rear seat only.
Q.I have a Mini Van or SUV - Where can I find seat covers?
A.Custom Seat covers are where you will find the best (and sometimes only)
options for Mini Vans and second or third row suv seats. These seats are typically
smaller then the back seat of a passenger vehicle and therefore "universal"
bench seat covers don't work very well.
Q.Can I reupholstery my seat myself?
A. Yes, Our Seat upholstery kits are made with the DIY'er in mind. Complete
Instructions, hardware and tools needed will come with your seat upholstery
kit. (tools to remove your seat are not included)
